New Delhi: Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri on Tuesday celebrated the completion of three years of his film The Kashmir files on his Instagram handle. Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar and Pallavi Joshi starrer shows the migration of Kashmiri Hindus in this film. However, as Agnihotri celebrated the third anniversary of his controlled film, he also shared an update on his next project – The Delhi files.
Vivek Agnihotri mentioned that he is planning to reveal the dark truth with The Delhi files. He also gave a big statement and said that the film will destroy you. Agnihotri said, ‘Dear friends, they tried to silence me. He tried to erase history. But The Kashmir files became a movement – which shook the country.
Vivek further wrote, ‘It was a revolution, the voice of the unruly and there was a tireless fight for justice. If The Kashmir files have troubled you, The Delhi files will destroy you, because the mission of my life is to tell the most black, most suppressed, untold truths in our history, no matter how uncomfortable they are.
The Delhi Files will complete the files of Vivek Agnihotri, including The Tashkent Files and The Kashmir files. Meanwhile, Pallavi Joshi also talked about The Kashmir files on the third anniversary of the film and said, ‘As an actor and producer, The Kashmir files were more than just one film for me. It was the responsibility of highlighting a story silent for decades, giving voice to forgotten people and respecting their pain. The tremendous love and influence of this film confirmed my belief that cinema is a powerful medium for untold truths. With The Delhi files, we continue this journey – because some truths should be told. The Delhi files will knock in theaters on 15 August 2025.
