China has been experimenting with a ‘artificial sun’ for the last few years. Its purpose is to achieve clean energy in future. Reports According to, China’s Experimental Advanced Superconducting Tokamak (EAST) Fusion Energy Reactor maintained its plasma for 1 thousand seconds and its temperature reached 100 million degrees. This is called the ‘artificial sun’ of China. In the year 2023, this energy reactor maintained his plasma for 403 seconds. That is, the previous record is now broken.

This machine tries to use the strength of nuclear fusion. This is called artificial sun, because the setup of the machine mimics the reality atomic reactions inside the Sun. In this, gases like hydrogen and deuterium are used as fuel. This experiment can bring scientists closer to ‘unlimited clean energy’.

Scientists say that it is expected to bring the energy received through EAST into commercial use in future. However, this experiment has to achieve more heights. To reach a point in which nuclear fusion maintains its energy for a long time.

Chinese scientists have been experimenting since 2006. The reactor has so far done hundreds of tests. With this, China has started building the fusion research facility of the new generation. Scientists consider nuclear fusion as a clean source of energy. This also gives energy to our sun. Conversely, energy is made by mixing atomic nuclei in nuclear power plants.

The energy on which the Chinese scientists are working on produces any greenhouse gas. There is no threat to it. If such energy can be used in human use, then all countries of the world can benefit.
