Ranya Rao is describing herself as innocent.

New Delhi: Kannada films actress Ranya Rao, who was caught in the charge of 14.2 kg of gold smuggling, made some claims to surprise a letter to the big officer of DRI (Directorate Review Intelligence). He has said in the letter that he was beaten up, slapped 10-15 times and when he refused to sign the statement written forcibly, he was slapped several times. Officials informed on Saturday 15 March that DGP Ramchandra Rao, the half -father of Kannada actress Ranya Rao, has been sent on ‘forced holiday’.

DGP Ramchandra Rao is being investigated in the gold smuggling case in which his step -daughter Ranya was arrested earlier this month at Bengaluru Airport. According to reports, the protocol officer of Kannada actress Ranya Rao, who was recently arrested on charges of gold smuggling, has alleged that Karnataka DGP Ramchandra Rao had clearly instructed her to help Ranya at Kempe Gowda International Airport in Bangalore.

Ranya Rao made big claims in the letter
Constable Basavaraj posted at the police station of the airport claimed that he was working on the direct orders of Ramchandra Rao. His works included the facility of the movement of Ranya Rao as per the instructions of senior officials. Ranya Rao also claimed that she is innocent, she has been falsely implicated and she was killed by the officials she could identify. Ranya Rao also claimed that he was not given food and threatened. According to News18 English report, he wrote in the letter, ‘One of the officials said that if you do not sign the papers, we will reveal your father’s name and identify them, even if we know that he is not involved anywhere.’
