New Delhi : Puneet Rajkumar, the power star of the Kannada film industry, was not only a great actor, but his passion for social service made him a real life hero. On 29 October 2021, he died of a heart attack at the age of just 46 years. After this news, Section 144 was implemented in the entire Bangalore and the sale of liquor was banned for two days. However, they are no longer in this world, but the number of his fans is still in crores.
Puneth Rajkumar was one of the highest -grossing actor in the Kannada film industry. His 14 films rocked theaters for 100 consecutive days. But his true identity was not limited to films just. He was known for social service- he operated 26 orphanages, 46 free schools, 16 old age homes and 19 gaushalas. At the same time, he donated his eyes, after which more than 1 lakh people donated eye donation in the whole of Karnataka with his inspiration. When Northern Karnataka was struggling with floods in 2019, Puneet went ahead and helped the people. Even during the Korona epidemic, he donated Rs 50 lakh to the Relief Fund of the Government of Karnataka.
Had proved ability in childhood
The talent of Puneeth Rajkumar was exposed from childhood. At the age of just 10, he won the National Award for his brilliant acting in the film ‘Bettda Huvu’. This film proved to be a milestone not only for his career, but also in the history of Kannada cinema.
Apart from this, he was also a great singer and television presenter. He also contributed to the IPL, when he became the brand ambassador of Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2008 and 2009. Along with acting and social service, he was also associated with the sports world.

Puneet Rajkumar’s father, Dr. Rajkumar, was the first actor of Kannada cinema to be awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. Putting forward his father’s legacy, Puneet made a place in the hearts of people not only with his acting but also with his noise.
Today, even though Puneet is not among us, his films, his noble work and the love of his fans will always keep him alive.
