Mahakumbh, the world’s largest religious program, is being held in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. During the Mahakumbh, lakhs of devotees are taking holy dip in the Ganges river in Prayagraj every day. An Astronaut of the American Space Agency NASA has taken a surprise pictures of the Mahakumbh. In these, the banks of the Ganges river are visible.

These Pictures of Mahakumbh have captured Astronaut Don Pettit from International Space Station (ISS). These pictures have been shared on the social media platform X. In these, a large number of devotees queuing up on the edges of the Ganges glowing with lights are seen. This is indicating a huge level of this religious event. There is eagerness about Mahakumbh worldwide. A large number of devotees from abroad are also participating in it.

American Astronaut and Chemical Engineers, Pettit are known for their contribution to their astrophotography and space exploration. He also invented the first patented object ‘Zero-G Cup’ in the space. Pettit (69) is considered the oldest active astronaut of NASA. He has spent about one and a half years on ISS. NASA’s Astronauts Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore’s return to the earth have been postponed by the Earth stuck on ISS. In June last year, both these Astronauts reached ISS via Boeing’s Starliner Spacecraft.

Recently, NASA had reported that his return has been postponed due to the delay in Spacex’s Crew-10 mission. The reason for this delay is the release of work on the new Crew Dragon SpaceCraft. In the Crew-10 mission, NASA’s Astronauts ANNE MCCLAIN and Nichole Ayers will go to Jaxa’s Takuya Onishi and Roscosmos cosmonot kirill peskov. This mission will be launched in Spacex’s Falcon 9 rocket in late March. The owner of Spacex is Billionaire Elon Musk. The duration of the mission of Sunita Williams and Barry Wilmore of Indian origin was 10 days but due to the technical problem in the Starliner SpaceCraft, they have been trapped on ISS for about 11 months. A few months ago, ISS was commanded by Astronaut Oleg Kononenko of Russia to Williams. Williams are monitoring various functioning and research as the Commander of ISS.
