Bajaj Auto, one of the big two-wheeler companies, has increased the range of Chetak Electric Scooters. The company has launched Chetak 3503. This is the most affordable electric scooter of Bajaj Auto. Recently the company introduced the Chetak 35 series. The design of the new electric scooter is kept similar to the previous version.

The price of Chetak 3501 in Chetak 35 Series is the highest of about 1.3 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). After this, the price of Chetak 3502 is about 1.22 lakh rupees and the new Chetak 3503 is about 1.10 lakh rupees (ex-showroom). The new electric scooter of Bajaj Auto will compete with Ola Electric’s S1X+ and IQUBE 3.4 of TVS Motor. This electric scooter has the same design as Chetak 35 series and a battery pack of 3.5 kwh. The range of its single charge is about 151 kilometers. Its top speed is 63 kmph.

The features have been reduced to keep the price of Chetak 3503 affordable. This electric scooter has features such as LCD clusters, Eco and Sports Ride Modes and LED headlights with Bluetooth. In this, customers will not get discrete brakes in sequential turn indicators and front. It can be charged from zero 0 to 80 percent in about 3.25 hours. It provides 35 liters of storage under the seat. Bajaj Auto’s electric scooters’ sales have increased by about 93 percent in March. The sales of Ola Electric, which have a large stake in this market for several months, declined by 56 percent in March.

Bajaj Auto sold 34,863 units of Chetak Electric Scooter in March. This is an increase of about 93 percent in sales on year-on-year basis. In February, the company’s electric scooters sold 21,537 units. Recently, the managing director of the company, Rajiv Bajaj had said that Bajaj Auto will launch new products in this segment in the current quarter. The company’s target is to increase its EV sales to about five lakh units in the current financial year. Last year, Bajaj Auto launched the world’s first CNG motorcycle Freedom 125. The cost of running this motorcycle is about 50 percent less than petrol -powered motorcycles.
