China has launched its first Humanoid Passenger Service AI robot. It is 1.5 meters long. Its name is Xiaotie. It looks like a railway passenger attendant (via) Comes. Short hair, big eyes and railway uniforms. It walks on a balance bike and keeps moving here and there at the station. Xiaotie provides counseling, guidance and navigation services to passengers so that it becomes an assistant companion for passengers. It also has a tablet on which it shows all the information about the question asked. It can also come to the station leaving passengers to their destination.
The robot has been deployed at the railway station from 8 am to 8 pm. It moves on the battery and as soon as the battery starts decreasing or reaches the verge of ending, it itself reaches the charging station. In future, there is a plan to install it on checking gates so that it can also work like ticket checking of passengers.
The launch of AI robots like Xiaotie suggests that China is progressing rapidly in Artificial Intelligence. Xiaotie is currently the only humanoid robot inside the railway system that is providing passenger service. But it indicates a big revolution in technology. In the coming time, more AI robots like Xiaotie can be seen in the travel segment which can make the future more smart and convenient.
