Gulmarg Fashion Show Controversy: Bold clothes were disputed during Ramadan at Gulmarg fashion show. Designers Shivan Bhatia and Naresh Kukreja apologized after protest in the assembly.

The fashion show took place on 7 December.

New Delhi: You will remember the ruckus of the fashion show in Gulmarg. In this, in the Pak month of Ramadan, the models wore a lot of bold clothes, causing an uproar in the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly. Designers Shivan Bhatia and Naresh Kukreja, who have done this show, have now apologized. He says that he had no intention of hurting anyone’s feelings.

Sharing the post on X (first Twitter) on Sunday, the Didirs wrote, ‘If someone has hurt someone from our show during Ramadan then we are very sad. Our aim was just to show our art and celebrate skiing culture, not to degrade anyone or hurt their religious sentiments. ‘ He further said, ‘We respect all religions and traditions and understand the feelings of the people. For any mistake in unknowingly, we apologize wholeheartedly and respect the reaction from our community. We will be more careful than further.

There was a lot of protest in the assembly
Many leaders had described this fashion show as ‘porn’ and it was strongly opposed in the assembly. Amid the uproar, the then Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah refused to allow any such program to be held in future. He had said, ‘We have ordered an inquiry into the case, but according to preliminary information, it was a private hotel in a private hotel for 4 days, which was organized by a private group. The fashion show took place on 7 December and some things were shown in it that has hurt people’s feelings, which is wrong. Now the question is, who is these Shivan and King? Actually, Shivan Bhatia and Naresh Kukreja are well-known fashion designers and run a fashion label called ‘Shivan and Naresh’.
