New DelhiBR Chopra’s ‘Mahabharata’ show became very popular. Many TV and Bollywood stars worked in this serial. Recently, Govinda revealed that he received an offer to be a part of ‘Mahabharata’. But he refused to play Abhimanyu. Govinda said that when he rejected ‘Mahabharata’, BR Chopra was very angry and then he expelled the actor from his office.

Talking on Mukesh Khanna’s YouTube channel, Gonvida said that he often used to go to BR Chopra and his son Ravi Chopra’s house to help Ravi’s wife, Renu Chopra’s household chores. Govinda revealed, ‘I used to work at his house. Renu Bhabhi used to call me, Chichi son comes to the house. My health is not good, we will clean the house. I think BR Chopra was not aware of this.

Govinda said that he was called BR Chopra’s office after he was elected to play Abhimanyu. However, he never auditioned for this role. The actor said that BR Chopra was badly angry and expelled from his office after refusing this role.

Govinda got Abhimanyu’s role
He said, ‘I reached his office and he told me that he has chosen me for the role of Abhimanyu in Mahabharata. I told him that my mother has refused to do this role. I will not do this. They asked me what your mother does? I told them that she is a sadhvi and I do what she says. At that time, I did not consider Chopra Saheb as such a big, influential person. My thinking was different at that time.

Why rejected ‘Mahabharata’ show?
The actor further said, ‘BR Chopra was an angry kind of person. He immediately said that he is a little crazy. I told them that my mother’s first film was Sharda. He has done 9 films and my parents are your senior. I told him that whatever my mother says, it becomes true, so I do not have a chance to go against her words.
