SBI reduced FD's interest rates again, how much interest will be available on which tenure from 16 May

SBI shocked crores of customers

SBI Latest FD Interest Rates: State Bank of India (SBI), the country’s largest government bank, Has shocked its customers once again. Actually, SBI has once again reduced interest on fixed deposits (FD). The new rates have come into force from May 16, 2025. The bank has cut FD rates for all tenure by 20 basis points i.e. 0.20 per cent. SBI also cut interest rates on 15 April last month.

After the cut, SBI is paying interest between 3.30 per cent and 6.70 per cent annually for common citizens. This deduction will be applicable to FDs below Rs 3 crore. Earlier, the bank was offering interest from 3.50 percent to 6.90 percent.

Introduction in Amrit Vrishti Scheme also cut
SBI has also cut the interest rate of 0.20 per cent on its spacious FD scheme Amrit Vrishti by 0.20 per cent. According to the bank’s website, Amrit Vrishti is 444 days of the scheme, in which the interest rates for the general public have been reduced from 7.05 percent to 6.85 percent.
